The Diving Medical Center is a joint operation between Bangkok Hospital Phuket and Badalveda Diving Medicine Center (BDMC). The aim was to provide full comprehensive health care to all patients looking for our service.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBO, HBO2 or HBOT) is a treatment where a patient breathes 100% oxygen intermittently while inside a chamber at a pressure higher than sea level.

Benefit of HBO2

• Increase oxygen concentration up to 10 times normal concentration in all body tissues, even with reduced or blocked blood flow.
• Stimulates growth of new blood vessels to locations with reduced circulation, improving blood flow to area wiht arterial blockage.
• Stimulates an adaptive increase in superoxide dismutase (SOD), one of the body's principal, internally produce antioxidants and free radical scavengers.
• Aids the treatment of infection by enhancing white blood cell action.
• Immediate bubble volume reduction in tissue and/or blood that occurs from diving.

HBOT is a non-invasive, painless course of treatment used for various conditions and illnesses. It allows patients to breathe pure oxygen under increased air pressure, with a typical treatment lasting 60-90 minutes. The number of sessions needed depends on the purpose of the treatment.

Our facilities include: private treatment room hyperbaric chamber ( mono chamber) our patients enjoy our in-chamber television for TV or movie viewing During the treatment, the patient lies in a body-length transparent tube with a doctor or nurse right outside within visual contact. A two-way radio allows the patient to speak with people outside the tube.
